Show lof Dr. George Henry Booth, vis-1 vis-1 ited Bishop and Mrs. Kerksiek last week end. They were gathering gath-ering genealogical data and visiting vis-iting old 'friends. 9 Mr. and Mrs. James Morgan and daughter Arleen, Mrs. Glenna Osborn, Ruth Davis and Sherrie Smith spent last week in Salt Lake. They were accompanied ac-companied by Kent Morgan, who also visited relatives. Mrs. Bateman and son Carl of Murray were visitors last week at the home of her nephew, Bishop Walter Kerksiek. They returned home Saturday. Mrs. Mary F. Goodwin, Mrs. Lue Thompson and Mrs. Hattia Goodwin were in Milford last Friday visiting their sister, Mrs. La Verne Patterson, who is in serious condition in the Mil-ford Mil-ford Hospital. Max Baker of Berkeley, Cal., is here visiting relatives and friends. He is a son of Nancy Goodwin Baker, former resident of Beaver. While here Max is the guest of Mrs. Josie Skinner. BEAVER CHURCH NEWS j The Manderfield sacrament ' was conducted by Lafe Brad-shaw, Brad-shaw, with Dale Baldwin giving giv-ing the opening prayer. Arnell Gale was principal speaker, and Arlene Edwards sang a solo accompanied by Verle Bradshaw.. Closing prayer pray-er was by Jess Edwards. Evan Patterson and Ray Bradshaw were speakers in the First Ward sacrament meeting. Mildred Atkin played a violin solo, accompanied by Vickie Beaumont. Alan Gale opened the meeting, meet-ing, with Edwin Smith closing. John Ashworth of the bishopric conducted. The Third Ward sacrament program was presented by the Junior Gospel Doctrine class, around the theme "We Are Glad to be Living the Gospel." Programs Pro-grams were distributed at the door by Alvin Yardley and Joe Kesler. Talks included "Ideal Personal Characteristics'' by Louis Lessing; "Fi? Agency" by Joan Manzione; "Repentance" "Repent-ance" by John Messer; "Divine Authority" by Merrill Lee. Class officers are Mary Yard-ley, Yard-ley, president; S. Albert Smith, vice president; Mary Ann Williams, Wil-liams, secretary, and Melba Yardley, teacher. |
