In the evening the newly-weds newly-weds were honored at a wedding reception at the church with the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Cuevas, 311 Get-mania Ave. Murray, formerly of Bingham, as host ar.i hostess. Given in marriage by her father, fa-ther, the bride ascended the aisle j in a floor-length satin, styled 'with a V neckline and short sleeves. After the ceremony the couple was honored at a wedding break : last at the Hotel Utah Starlite Gardens, given by the bridegroom's bride-groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. I Albut Kastehc, Cupperton. In the evening the bride's parents,' Mr. and Mrs. Krne.st C. Simians, were ho.ts ;:t a reception at their home in Copperton. Guests were svrved in the garden which was lighted with lanterns and lamps and decorated with white gladi-oli. gladi-oli. The church was simply decorated decor-ated with vases ot white gladioli ajid candelabra. I arrived on June 26th and Miss Schumacher on July 1st. They will leave Friday afternoon for Chicago, 111., via a scenic tour at Denver, Colo. Mrs. Esther Clays joined her daughter and son in law, Beverly and 'Lynn Trotter and family on their return trip to their home in San Francisco, Calif., after vacationing two weeks at Bear Lake, Utah. Mrs. Clays will visit with them until July 15th. A nicely appointed pre-nuptial dinner was given June 28th in honor of Ethel JoAnn Peterson and Frank Adorno Jr. by the bride-to-ibe's aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Anthon Jacobson of Midvale. Those in. attendance besides be-sides the honor guests and hosts were the bride's family, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Cuevas and children, Daniel and Geraldine, the bridegroom's bride-groom's family Mr. and Mrs. Frank Adorno Sr. and children, Anthony, Joseph and Carmellia, Mr. and Mrs. John Bressan and children, Betty Rose and John Michael, Mrs. Bertha Roberson, Mrs. Lillian Schwab, and Mary Agnes and Nadine Jacobson. The centerpiece was a lovely wedding cake flanked on each side by white candles and wedding bells. Mr. and Mrs. John Bressan left Monday morning after spending the past week with Mr. and Mrs. Anthon Jacobson and Mr. and Mrs. Peter Cuevas and families. They plan to spend three days in Las Vegas, Nev., before returning re-turning to their home in El Dorado, Calif. Mrs. Louie Roberson Rober-son left Sunday morning by plane to return to her home in Richmond, Calif. Mrs. Hans Schwab from Sacramento. Calif, is visiting with Mr. ana Mrs. Cuevas and iMr. and Mrs. Jacob-son. The bride given in marriage by her father was radiant in a gown of imported pure antique silk with a Chantilly lace bodice. The skirt with a tailored peplum cascaded in the back to a chapel-length chapel-length train. Her finger-tip veil of silk illusion was caught to a band of iridescent sequins with a row of tiny pearls, and she carried a crescent bouquet of Johanna Hill roses, French carnations car-nations and white and blue aga-pantha. aga-pantha. Attending the bride were Miss Merry Helen Simkins, maid of honor; Miss Dorothy Ann Sim-kins, Sim-kins, Miss Kathy Ellen Simkins, sisters of the bride, and Miss Patricia McCarty. They wore identical gowns of snow peach chiffon and carried French nosegays nose-gays of snow peach gladioli and white agapantha. Gary Anderson was best man. Ushers were Dave Dungan. Tony Hess. She wore a cocktail hat of a deep rose hue. The 'bridegroom's mother's mo-ther's gown was an empire sheath of pale blue silk and cotton. cot-ton. After a honeymoon trip to Lake Tahoe the couple will return re-turn to Salt Lake City to make a home. wiui a Tiara oi pearis, $equuu and rhinestones. She carried two white orchids centered on a white prayer book. Attending the bride was Miss Joyce Ann Mash, maid of honor in a princess styled dress of yellow yel-low taffeta. She wore a halo of net and velvet trimmed with sequins and she carried lavender carnations. Bridesmaids Miss Mary Agnes Jacobson, Miss Car-melia Car-melia Adorno, sister of the bride groom, and junior bridesmaids, Miss Nadine Jacobson and the bride's sister, Miss Geraldine Cuevas, wore similiar dresses of light lavender taffeta. They wore matching halos and carried pink and white carnations. Joseph Adorno, brother of the bridegroom, was the ring-bearer. Daniel Cuevas, brother of the bride, performed duties of best man. Ushers were Anthony Adorno, Ador-no, brother of the 'bridegroom, land John Michael Bressan, cousin cous-in of the 'bride. The bride's mother wore a navy 'blue dress with pink accessories acces-sories while the (bridegroom's , mother chose a powder blue i dress with white accessories. iBoth had complimenting orchid i corsages. After a honeymoon to Las I Vegas and San Diego the couple 1 will make a home in Salt Lake City. Monday evening, members of the Junior Gleaners of Bingham Ward MLA enjoyed a lawn party at the home of their leader, Mis. Eva West. Games wore played and prizes won after which. delicious de-licious refreshments were served. serv-ed. Those attending were Karen Bell, Toni Stewart, Dorothy Slotte, Ellen Beth Thomas, Ann Marie Syibrowsky, Karen Mos, Patsy Nielson, Mrs. West, Airs. Jessie Sanchez and daughter Jeanne. Mrs. Mae Stillman is recovering recover-ing nicely at home from a foot injury suffered Sunday night. She broke a bone in her ankle when her foot slipped on a step. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Johnson of Eureka, Calif., arrived the first part of the week to visit two weeks with relatives and friends. Mrs. Johnson will be remembered re-membered here as the former Viola Sutherland. Arriving last Friday for a week's visit were Mr. and Mrs. John Disienza of San Francisco, Calif. They are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Disperua and son Sam-mv. Sam-mv. and Mayor and Mrs. Joe hostess. Prizes at bridge went to Mrs. Naudyne Swenson, first; Mrs. Helen Sullenger, second; Mrs. Helen Peterson, consolation and Mrs. Willadeen Householder, draw. Lovely refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Ira E. Moss and family are leaving today, Friday, to vacation in California for a-bout a-bout a week. They plan to visit the Ixs Angeles LDS Temple and wilt travel to Lancaster to see their son, Ira A. Moss, who has just finished naval reserve training there. Miss Myrna Bode of Chamberlain, Chamber-lain, South Dakota, and Miss Elsie Schumacher of Hempstead, Long Island, New York, are guests of (Miss Maurine Morley at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Morley. Miss Bode annual elections with the various var-ious offices going to Jeanne Sanchez, San-chez, president; Toni Stewart, vice president, and award and social chairmen, Karen Bell and Patsy Nielson. Sammi Dean Gavich of Mel-brae, Mel-brae, Calif., is here for the summer sum-mer visiting with her father, Sam Gavich, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Lipsey, and other relatives. ' Mrs. Ruth Hudson and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bentley and granddaughter, grand-daughter, Patricia Padgen, visited visit-ed Saturday in Tooele with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Watson and daughter dau-ghter Sophie. The occasion celebrated cele-brated Mrs. Watson's birthday. Patricia stayed overnight as guest of Sophie. The Watsons brought Patricia home Sunday night. Mrs. Wally Swenson and dau-ghters, dau-ghters, Lynn Ann and Celese. Disperua and daughter Paulette. Poulette and Donna Kay Lipsey who have, been visiting with them in California for the past ten days, came home with them. The visitors will leave today to return to California. iMr. and Mrs. Ira E. Moss at: tended the University of Utah summer festival presentation 'The King and I" in Salt Lake City Wednesday night. They found the play to 'be delightfully entertaining and thoroughly enjoyed en-joyed it. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Fenton of Lark left Wednesday for Sho-siione, Sho-siione, Idaho, to visit a few days with Mrs. Fenton's sister, Mrs. Art iMartin.
