Show SANTA CLARA. Grain is headed out. Water is failing fast. First crop of lucern being harvested. It is light. Gooseberries are already on the market, mar-ket, and peas soon will be. Laura, the youngest daughter of John and Barbara Stucki, is quite ill. Samuel Knight received another load of goods for his store on the 15th inst. The wife of Arnold Stucki' gave birth to a baby-boy last Thursday. All well and the father happy. Bros. Maeser and Reynolds visited ua a week ago. We appreciated the good and.timely instructions they gave us. The Washington string band was here on the 13tli inst. and played for a dance that evening. Their music was much appreciated. A primary entertainment was gotten up last Friday, for the benefit of that association, which was very good. A dance was given the children in the afternoon. Bishop Hafen passed the hat around, and several dollars were collected. |
