Show SANTA CLARA Miss Laura Gubler Reporter The Santa Clara and Ivins P.-T. A. meeting was held here Thursday evening. The program was under the direction of Principal Newell R. Frei of the Woodward high school. He was assisted by members mem-bers of the faculty, who gave talks along their respective lines of teaching. Musical numbers were furnished by the high school students. stu-dents. The Swiss D. U. P meeting was held Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Edward Frei Sr. Mrs. Frei gave the lesson on, "Outstanding Boats and Ships of Pioneer Days". Home missionaries Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Seaman and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Starr. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Stuck! and twin boys have moved to St. George to live. Don Duce spent several days in Salt Lake City on business. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Knight of Bunkerville were visitors here on Sunday. Mrs. Lloyd Bleak and small daughter arrived last week from Pocatello, Ida., to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ensign Gubler, before joining Mr. Bleak in Las Vegas, where they will make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Reber of California visited here Monday with relatives. Mrs. Kenneth Ence was honored hon-ored here Saturday afternoon at a shower given by a group of friends. Mrs. Landon Frei and Mrs. Lorin Reber accompanied their husbands to Los Angeles for a visit with relatives. Mrs. Frei visited with her brother, Verle Graff, who is in training there and Mrs. Reber with her sister, Mrs. Horace McArthur. |
