Show Young Ycmen Urged To Join WAVES "Our gallant men of the seas are returning from the fiercest battles ever known. Many are coming back sick, wounded, maimed and tired. They will enter Naval hospitals where WAVES will help them with another battle the battle for health, strength and happiness." That's the statement of Navy Recruiting Chief Smith, Navy recruiting station, Federal Building, Build-ing, Cedar City, Utah, who today made an appeal for more women to join the WAVES. Thousands of women are . needed in the WAVES now, he stated, and at least half of these will be asked to volunteer for service as hospi-tol hospi-tol corp WAVES. Chief Smith continued: "If you're a young woman between 20 and 36, this is the battle that you can help win. Those who volunteer for this type of duty will soon realize that it is the most important work of their life. They will also know that they will have been thoroughly trained for their work in caring for the wounded and, trained too for a better job in the post war future." Women who enlist in the WAVES are eligible for all benefits bene-fits of the GI Bill of Rights, Chief Smith said.
