Show Gas Coupons Must Be Endorsed Immediately All gasoline users were reminded today by E. Eric Snow, chairman of the St. George war price and 1-ationing board that all coupons in their present gasoline ration books must be endorsed immediately immedi-ately in compliance with the new amendment to the rationing regulations. reg-ulations. The endorsement entails writing the license plate number and the state of registration in ink on each coupon. Coupons in new books issued after July 22 should be endorsed as soon as they are received from the local office, the chairman said. In addition, users should write endorsements en-dorsements i mmediately . on any coupons now in their possession or received before July 22. In the past it has not been necessary to write notations on coupons until they were actually used to buy gas. Immediate endorsements are required re-quired under a new OPA amendment amend-ment both as a convenience to the public and as a help to OPA investigators in-vestigators in checking misuse of ration coupons falling into the hands of persons not entitled to them, the board chairman pointed out. "Under the new plan the motorist, motor-ist, by spending a few minutes endorsing his coupons all at once will save delay and trouble when he goes to a filling station to buy gasoline," Mr. Snow said. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Long and children, Mrs. Dalice Hartman and Merwin Hartman have gone to Enterprise. |
