Show Enterprise To Sponsor Two-Day Two-Day Rodeo On July 23rd and 24th Program To Include Sports, Dances And Novelty Even Is The Enterprise Chamber of Commerce Com-merce will again sponsor a Rodeo and other entertainment on July 23 and 24, it was announced this week by R. B. Farnsworth, chairman chair-man of the entertainment committee. commit-tee. The program is slated to , start Friday afternoon at 3 p. m., with two programs scheduled for Saturday, July 24th; one to be held in the morning and the other in the afternoon. "It was debated for sometime," states Mr. Farnsworth, "whether or not, under war conditions, and gas and tire shortages, this event should be discontinued for the duration. We finally decided, that during war time, the people, probably prob-ably more than ever, need some such form of entertainment and relaxation. "We feel that in spite of the manpower shortage this year we can again put on quite a show. The Bowler boys of Gunlock and Enterprise have the finest bunch of stock that they have had for several years. They, in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce, will put on the show." According to Mr. Farnsworth, there will be three big shows. The first will be staged Friday afternoon after-noon at 3 p. m. Following the Rodeo, there will be other sports and a dance in the evening. On the . morning of July 24 at 10 o'clock, there will be another Rodeo. At 2 p.m., there will be a special Pioneer Day program and meeting. This will be followed fol-lowed at 3:30 p.m., with the final Rodeo. To complete the afternoon's after-noon's program there will be a Softball game and novelty sports. A dance in the evening will culminate cul-minate the two-day program. "We extend a special invitation to the people of St. George and other communities o f southern Utah and Nevada to come join us in our fun. For any who wish to indulge in additional sport, we have some splendid fishing spots only 10 miles up the canyon." |
