Barton returned last week from northern Utah where they have been visiting vis-iting relatives. Mr. Barton is recovering re-covering satisfactorily from recent re-cent surgery. Relatives and friends in St. George were advised recently of the birth of a son to Mr. and Mrs. Grant Remund of Midvale. Mrs. Remund is the former Iva Don Shumway, sister of Mrs. Reed Mathis of this city. Mrs. Victor W. Jones, the former Lawana Hyatt arrived last week from San Diego, Calif., where she has been for several weeks with her husband who is in training. She will remain for several sev-eral weeks with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Gilbert D. Hyatt. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold McArthur are entertaining at Thanksgiving dinner, their guests to include relatives from Santa Clara and St. George along with Major and Mrs. Clarence Moss and children and the Major's mother,, Mrs. Jane M. Hasfurther and two children arrived last Saturday Sat-urday evening from Huntington, Utah, to spend the week with Mr. and Mrs. Victor Sullivan and family, parents of Mrs. Hasfurther. Has-further. M. Bleak of St. George and Mr. and Mrs. Ralston Barber of Pine Valley left Wednesday noon for Las Vegas to spend Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bleak and children. ft ft ft Miss Grace Bentley who is employed em-ployed in Price as a stenographer in the Farm Security program arrived home Tuesday evening to remain over Sunday with her mother, Mrs. Ellen S. Bentley. Mrs. James Tegan and son, Blaine, of Burley, Ida., were visiting visit-ing the past two weeks with relatives rela-tives in Washington and St. George, guests while here of Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Milne. Mrs. Tegan and Mrs. Milne are sisters Mrs. Roxa J. Terry left last Friday afternoon for Panaca, to be with her sister, Mrs. Minnie Edwards, who is very seriously ill ft ft ft Guests this past week of Mrs. Julia A. Berry were her daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Farmin Hodges of Rosalia, Ro-salia, Wash., and Mrs. W. A. Young of Orange, Calif., and her granddaughter-in-law, Mrs. W. A. Young Jr., and baby, Pamela, of Joseph, Utah. Mrs. Hodges returned re-turned Sunday morning, Mrs. W. A. Young Jr., and baby Monday morning, and Mrs. Young Sr., is leaving this (Thursday) evening. The baby's father is listed as T5 in the U. S. Army and is at present pres-ent stationed in Aberdeen, Md. His wife and baby are making their home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Baker at Joseph for the duration. ft ft ft Mr. and Mrs. Mason Barton, Mrs. Spencer Truman and baby, and Mrs. Shirl Pitchforth and baby returned Sunday evening to their respective homes at Santa Monica, Rosemead and Glendale, Calif., after visiting the past ten days with relatives.
