Mrs. Prime Coleman left Friday for Kanab to spend the summer. Merrill Sandherg was a city visitor here from Hurricane last Saturday. Miss Juanita Davis of New Harmony Har-mony has been here visiting friends. Miss Caddie Andrus entertained the G. A. L. club last Friday evening. Miss Pruda Wooley left Friday for Kanab to spent about two weeks visiting. Ernest Judd and Paul Arnes spent last week here from Cedar City on business. Brig. Carpenter was a visitor here from Berry springs the latter part of last week. Miss Villa Bastian and Howard Judd spent the week end in Cedar City visiting. Miss Dorothy Kemp returned last Saturday from Cedar City where she has been working. Mrs. A. T. Tolton and her sister, Miss Beth Gardner, left Sunday for Beaver City to visit. Miss Helen Starr and Miss Agnes Bleak left Friday for Richfield to spend some time visiting. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Hafen arrived here Sunday from Berkeley, Calif., and are visiting relatives. Mrs. Edna Bentley returned home Monday from Provo where she spent about two weeks visiting relatives. Mrs. Libbie Christian returned home Monday from Salt Lake City where she has been visiting relatives. Albert Mathis and Ed. C. Sherman Lamb left for his home at Cedar City Sunday after spending two days here on business and visiting friends. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Whipple and three children left last Sunday for Sunnyside, Nev., to spend the week visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. William Cobb and family left Tuesday for Mount Trumbull, Trum-bull, where they intend to spend the rest of the summer. Miss Laberta, Miss Gertrude and Lorenzo McGregor returned Saturday from Salt Lake City. Miss Gertrude has been visiting there about three weeks. Mr .and Mrs. Samuel Judd and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Judd returned last Friday night from Panguitch, where they had been to attend the funeral of Nelson Worthen. Mr. Winpenny, one of the California Califor-nia stockholders of the Virgin Dome Oil Co., left Monday with W. J. Graham for Zion park, Cedar Breaks and the Grand canyon. FOR SALE Used cars. Dr. and Mrs. Samuel Bleak returned return-ed Saturday from Salt Lake, where Mr. Bleak has been attending the Utah State Dentists convention. The doctor reports a splendid convention. Elder John H. Cottam, of the East Ward Bishopric, conducted the fun-era! fun-era! services over the remains of Arvie Johnstun on the 15th inst. The News stated Bp. Miles conducted the services, which was an error. Mrs. Jos. Maloney of Virgin underwent under-went an operation for appendicitis last Friday, at the local hospital, reported re-ported doing nicely. Mrs. W. N. Gray entertained at a shower in honor of Miss Lula Neilson of Washington last Friday night. A number of nice presents were received and a nice time was had. Mrs. Alice Miles and daughter, Miss Leona, Charles Starr and daughter, Miss Grace, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Miles and family returned return-ed Tuesday from Elsinore. Mr. and Mrs. Melt Barnhurst left last Thursday for their home at Hatch after spending a few days here visiting relatives, Miss Laura Barnhurst Barn-hurst accompanied them home. ' Mr. and Mrs. Warren Cox and several members of their family left Wednesday morning for Panaca, Nev., to attend a reunion of the Lee family, and expect to return within a week. Sheriff and Mrs. Wilford Goff returned re-turned Monday from Salt Lake and Provo where they had been for eight days. At Provo Mr. Goff attended the second annual convention of the International Association for Identification, Identi-fication, and reports having had a good time. He says snow fell on the Provo mountains on the night of the ISth inst. BIG FLAG DANCE.
