Show Frederick Fawcett Dies at His Home Here Aug. 24 Funeral services for Frederick Fawcett, 57, will be held in the St. George Stake Tabernacle Friday, August 24, at 5:00 p.m., under direction di-rection of the South ward bishopric. bishop-ric. Mr. Fawcett died at his home in St. George Tuesday, August 21, at 5:00 p.m., following a stroke. He has been in poor health for the past four years. Born in St. George January 25, 1888, he was a son of Nephi and Ruth Orchard Fawcett, and twin brother of J. R. Fawcett. He had his early schooling in St. George and after completing high school work taught here at that time, he graduated from the branch agricultural agri-cultural college in Cedar City. For the next 13 years he followed school teaching at Hamilton's Fork and Kanarra in Iron County and Toquerville and the Woodward School, St. George, in Washington County. For two years after this he purchased pur-chased and drove the overland stage between St. George and Cedar Ce-dar City, and since that time has operated service stations until ill health compelled him to retire from work. i On Rpnipmhpr 91 1Q1 ho mar ried Genevieve Snow of St. George, who with one son and five daughters daugh-ters survive. They are: Pfc. Floyd Fawcett, now serving in Okinawa; Mrs. Del Roy Miller of Henderson, Nevada; Mrs. William Adams, Mrs. Leo Holt, and the Misses Leda and Ruth Fawcett, all of St. George. There are also two brothers, Albert Al-bert O. Fawcett of Hurricane and J. R. Fawcett of St. George; two sisters, Mrs. Susie Atkin, St. George, and Mrs. Harold Wilkinson Wilkin-son of Salt Lake City, and five grandchildren. |
