Show LaYERKIN Pansy L. Hardy Reporter Mr. Barratt, seminary instructor at Hurricane high school, was the speaker at Sacrament meeting on Sunday. He spoke of the message of Christmas, and that fact that love should permeate the world instead of war and confusion, if people would live according to the principles taught by our Savior. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Hardy were business visitors here Friday, and were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Brigham Hardy. The Relief Society sponsored a party and Christmas program as a feature of the last meeting to be held this year. The party was a result of a contest for attendance attend-ance held here for the past few months. An enjoyable time was had by all. Mrs. Nelma Scow and three children, of Salt Lake City, are visitors at the home of Mrs. Scow's mother, Mrs. Joseph Gub-ler. Gub-ler. Mrs. Harriet Woodbury has gone to Los Angeles to be with her daughter, for the Christmas holidays. The Sewing club of LaVerkin held its weekly meeting- at the home of Mrs. LaVell Hinton. Moroni Sanders has spent the past week in Salt Lake City on business. The Mutual, under the supervision super-vision of Wilford Thompson, presented pre-sented a Christmas program here Tuesday. Walter Church has employment as a clerk in the Graff mercantile at Hurricane. |
