Show Hurricane To Be Hosts To Civic Clubs Meet On Saturday, December 27 Hurricane will be hosts to the next meeting of the Associated Civic clubs of Southern Utah, which is to be held in that city on Saturday, Dec. 27th. Chauncey Sandberg, who was recently reelected re-elected vice-president of the organization org-anization will be in charge of arrangements. ar-rangements. Mr. Sandberg urges that this meeting be attended by representative citizens from all parts of this county and that they come prepared to present any projects which are vital to their section or to the county as a whole. These meetings are attended by state officials and offer an opportunity oppor-tunity for citizens to present, through the Civic clubs, projects that they feel are of vital importance im-portance to their community or this whole section. Projects, to be given the backing of the Civic clubs organization, must be considered con-sidered for 30 days and passed by the board of directors. Initiation Party The Hurricane Lions club was officially initiated by the St. George Lions club when the two clubs met here Saturday night at the CCC camp for an initiation banquet. Approximately 20 members mem-bers from the St. George club were said to be in attendance. They were led by Pres. Dr. A. W. McGregor with the party being under the supervision of W. A. Nelson, district chairman. Those attending report a fine banquet and interesting program and that the Hurricane club stood up fine under the initiation. |
