Show BUNKERVILLE, Nev. Mrs. Mary II. Leavitt Reporter Mrs. Thomas H. Adams received "a cablegram from her grandson, Major Ken Earl in Sawcari, France, greeting her on Mother's Day and said he hoped to see her soon. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Waite spent Sunday in Gunlock visiting with their sister, Mrs. Ivan Hunt. Mrs. Medora Waite is there visiting her daughter also. All members of the ward enjoyed enjoy-ed a mul ton roast last Wednesday evening on the school lawn. Mother's Day was fittingly celebrated cele-brated on Sunday with a fine program pro-gram at Sunday school. Many out-of-town visitors came to spend the day with their parents. Among them were Pres. and Mrs. Elmer Graff of Hurricane, Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Lowe of Las Vegas, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Leavitt of Las Vegas, Mrs. Lloyd Waite and Mrs. Jack Leavitt. A friendship shower was held in honor of Mrs. Christensen last Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Ferlin Hunt. Baccalaureate services were held in Mesquite on Sunday at 2 p. m. Alonzo Morley, professor of speech at the BYU gave the address to the graduates. On Wednesday evening the commencement program pro-gram was held. Dr. Griffin of the University of Nevada was the principal speaker. The graduates this year are: Keith Hafen, Clair-een Clair-een Rcber, Herman Adams, Roma Reber, Clark Cox, Florian Houston, Hous-ton, Glenna Leavitt, Joan Leo, Charles Woods and Jex Tobler. Claireen Reber is the scholarship student. |
