Show I iIIINKSOX HOME Mrs. Eliza Judd of St. George 'was advised recently that her i grandson, Judd Hinkson, who has been a Japanese prisoner for more than throe years, has finally returned to the home of his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hinkson Hink-son in Modesto, Calif. Mrs. Judd is hoping for an early visit from this grandson, who lived in St. George until shortly before he entered military service. His parents report that he is rapidly overcoming the effects of his long imprisonment since he arrived home. fca Pa ra Ballantyne Aids R-scue Party-Dangling Party-Dangling -100 feet from a rope alongside a glacier in 40-below-zero weather was "just part of the job" undertaken by TSgt. Van Ballantyne of Twin Falls, Idaho, in helping to rescue a troop transport trans-port which had hit the side of a glacier near Mount McKinley, with 19 soldiers aboard. The ship was enroute to the U. S. with soldiers coming home on furlough. At the time Sgt. Ballantyne, a brother of Mrs. Walter Jensen of St. George, was stationed in the Aleutians. He is now home on furlough and visited vis-ited the Jensens here last week. |
