Show Dixie College Mews The college band participated in the parade at Las Vegas last Thursday. The college farewell program I was given in the auditorium this morning, all classes having been completed at 11 o'clock. The FFA club, under the leadership of Wayne Ilinton, is planning a trip to Yellowstone. They will leave next Monday morning and will be gone about 10 days. B. Glen Smith, honorary FFA member, and some of the boys' fathers will also go on the trip. N. Rodney Ashby has been chosen by the state school office to assist with the statewide survey sur-vey of school library facilities. He will work at the problem this .summer. The Art Guild entertained their new officers last Friday night with a swim and hot dog party at Washington. The junior students of Mr. and Mrs. Earl J. Bleak gave a successful success-ful recital in the band room last Sunday. The Delta Psi Omega held a breakfast Thursday morning in the science building. This concluded con-cluded the dramatic activities of the school year. Dr. O. J. Wheatley, extension economist from the U.S.A.C., and Dr. Dilworth Walker, of the United States Department of Agriculture, and a member of the faculty of the University of Utah, were Dixie visitors Tuesday. Miss Ruth Falck's advanced piano students gave a delightful recital in the college auditorium Monday night. The Lambda Beta Theta, college col-lege literary society, held its annual birthday formal Wednesday Wednes-day night in the Institute building. build-ing. Ross Hardy is back in school after two days absence due to illness. |
