Show CITY ORDIXAXCE AN ORDINANCE SPECIFYING THE TIME OF APPLYING FOR AND PAYMENT FOR IRRIGATION IRRIGA-TION WATER RENTED FROM CITY OF ST. GEORGE, PROVIDING PROVID-ING A PENALTY FOR DELINQUENCY DELIN-QUENCY AND A REMEDY IN CASE OF NON-PAYMENT. Be it .ordained by the City Council of the City of St. George, Utah : Section 1. That any and all persons, firms or corporations who rent, or desire to rent, irrigation water from the City of St. George shall make application to the i City Treasurer on or before (' March 15th of the year in which they desire to use said water and shall pay one-half of the rental due for said water at the time they apply for rental of the same, and the balance of said rental shall be paid on or before June 15th of the year in which said water is used. Section 2. Any person, firm or corporation delinquent in the payment pay-ment to City of St. George on account of irrigation water rented rent-ed from said City shall not be permitted to rent irrigation water from said City until all delinquencies delin-quencies are paid in full. Section 3. Any and all city officials having to do with the making up of schedules for the use of such rented water, or with the distribution thereof are hereby here-by prohibited from including any wateruser in said schedules, or in distributing water to any person per-son desiring to use said rented water unless and until one-half of said rental has been paid by said wateruser or person, and unless un-less and until all delinquencies on account of said person for irrigation water rented from said city are paid in (full. Section 4. If the balance of said rental fee is not paid by June 15th of the year in which said water is used, any and all city officials having to do with the distribution of said water are hereby directed to refrain from delivering said wateruser any of said water until the remaining one-half of said rental, plus a penalty of 10 per cent of the amount due, shall have been paid to the city treasurer. Section 5. In the opinion of the City Council, it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of City of St. George that this ordinance become be-come effective immediately. Now, therefore, this ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication.
