Show South Ward Celebrates 15th j Birthday Anniversary The St. George South ward was 15 years old Wednesday, according accord-ing to Mrs. Nelson Empey, who gave the highlights of its organization organ-ization and history in the preliminary prelim-inary program of the South ward M. I. A. Tuesday evening. First Bishop of the South ward was the late F. G. Miles in September Sep-tember 1925. His successor was Harold S. Snow, now president of the Stake and the Temple, who gave over the reins of management manage-ment to Bishop Andrew McArthur McAr-thur in 1939. Mrs. Empey has delved into the ward records and through numerous interviews has been able to elaborate upon the work accomplished through the years by this ward, the first to have its own chapel, the first to install a pipe organ, and with an enviable detail of achievements achieve-ments throughout the 15 years. |
