Show Many Children Attend East Ward Fall 'Homecoming' Exercises The fall "Homecoming" of the East ward children's primary was held in the basement of the stake Tabernacle last Saturday afternoon. after-noon. There was a large attendance, attend-ance, officers report and the children honored their former president, Mrs. Arthur K. Hafen, crowning her Queen of the Harvest. Har-vest. Miss Ellen Truman, twin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Truman, charmingly gowned for the occasion, was selected to crown the queen and present her with an elaborate boquet of fall flowers. Songs and tributes honored hon-ored the queen for her past labors. la-bors. The afternoon program included includ-ed also, group and individual singing, sing-ing, directed by Mrs. Fay Sy-phus, Sy-phus, retold stories by Mrs. Lee Owens and Mrs. Art Kemp, and games directed by Play Leader Mrs. Jack Phoenix. Mrs. Hafen expresses appreciation for the honor extended and all present reported having a most delightful delight-ful afternoon. |
