Show LOOKING BACKWARD June 15, 1911 Elder Martin Anderson returned re-turned home last week from a two-year mission to the southern states. Frank G. Whitehead of St. George was listed as one of the students graduating from the University of Pennsylvania veterinary vet-erinary school. j Old Folks Day was celebrated in St. George on Tuesday, June 13. Dinner was served to 150. The oldest man present was Anson An-son P. Winsor who is in his 93rd year and the oldest lady was Mrs. D. D. McArthur in her 92nd year. WA SHINGTON Louis R. Lund of Modena and Miss Alice Paxman of Washington were married mar-ried June 9th in the St. George Temple. June 22, 1931 Stake conference was held here June 17 and IS. Apostle A. W. Ivins was present. The speakers were: Pres. E. H. Snow, O. D. Gifford, W. J. Miles, George A. Holt, A. W. Ivins, G. F. Whitehead, White-head, Joseph I. Earl, Martin Anderson, An-derson, William B. Duffin, Joseph Jos-eph T. Atkin, Joseph Orton, John T. Woodbury, Leo A. Snow, Henry Hen-ry R. Atkin, Thomas P. Cottam, Lyman Woods, Morris Wilson and D. H. Cannon. Work is being rushed on the stake academy building, the new Electric Theatre and the Thomas Judd store. BLOOMINGTON Martin Larson Lar-son and Louie Nelson were married mar-ried June 20 in the St. George Temple. |
