Show Directorate Chosen For County Soil Conservation Work At election meetings held Monday Mon-day night at St. George and Enterprise En-terprise and Tuesday at Hurricane Hurri-cane the following men were elected el-ected as a permanent board of directors on the Agricultural goll Conservation program Henry Guhler, representing the Hurricane Hurri-cane district; Wallace Iverson, representing t'foS St. George district; dis-trict; George 0. Holt representing represent-ing the. Enterprise district. According to County Agent Anson. An-son. B;. Instructions have been received at Mr. Call's office that all farmers farm-ers interested in signing applications applica-tions for this Soil Conservation must file' applications in the office of-fice not later than June 25th. Meetings have been held in each of the communities within the county but there are still some who have not signed. It will be possible for these people to sign at the County agent's office of-fice some time before Thursday, June 25th. The permanent committee have been called to a meeting at Beaver Bea-ver where they will receive definite defi-nite instructions as to the procedure pro-cedure for filing out the application appli-cation blanks. Anyone interested in knowing more about this program should come to the Agent's office. "Some people", said Mr. Call, "have the idea that they can apply ap-ply any time before the growing season is over and receive blanks to make application. This is wrong for no one can sign after the 25th. There is no contract or anything any-thing to live up to in this program pro-gram but after the growing season sea-son is over there will be a check up to see who is eligible to receive re-ceive payments. No one who has not signed an application blank will be permitted to receive payment pay-ment on this program under the present rulings." |
