Show DIXIE BOYS SET HIGH MARKS IN PENTATHLON Denby Wade and Lorraine M; Arthur were crowned, champions in the Dixie district junior pentathlon penta-thlon meet by running up some of tile finest scores yet reported in the popular Deseret News program. pro-gram. Wade captured the senior honors hon-ors by rolling up the remarkable score of 4500 while McArthur turned in a total of 3H70 to walk off with the Junior laurels. Wade's performance is the mbst sensational made all sea-on. The Dixie ace turned in a broad jump of 19 feet which would win practically prac-tically any high school track and Held meet. He high jumped five feet eight inches; threw the ball-put ball-put 63 feet; ran the 75-yard dash in S.l seconds and scored 2 4 baskets bas-kets in the allotted two minutes. Denby's fine performance marks him as one of the outstanding candidates for the state championship cham-pionship and the trip back to the World's Fair at Chicago which will be given to the two victors at the final meet at Salt Lake on Mav 13. McArthur was just about as impressive im-pressive in the Junior class as Wade was in the senior division and the clever littl St. George athletes will be in the state finals ready to put up a strong bid for the Chicago trip.
