Show STATE ALLOTS MILLION FOR MAINTENANCE Bulk of Funds for Highway Work for 1932 Derived from Gasoline Tax; Oil Program Near Million The -state highway commission commis-sion this week set up a total of $1,136,163 for the 1932 program pro-gram of maintenance of the state's road system and made tentative allotments to the various vari-ous counties. Washington county, by this action is to receive $46,244 for maintenance of 190 miles of roadway. However, according to Henry H. Blood, chairman of the road commission, the funds are tentatively allotted to the various counties, but are subject sub-ject to change. The state road system includes in-cludes some 4100 miles of roads a portion of which was added by legislation at the last session of the legislature. Of the total $988,337 will be spent on the old roads and $147, 7S6 on those roads taken into the state system last year. The total maintenance program for the state roads in 1931 was $953,-S95. $953,-S95.
