Eowlor. and Morris j Wilson returned Sunday from Salt J Lake City where they spent several sev-eral days on county business. While in Salt Lake they met with the state road commission regarding regard-ing the building program in Washington Wash-ington county this year. The commission assured them that the oiling of 91 in this county would commence on April 1, and that the road from St. George would be surfaced this year. To the west work will com-j com-j mence at the Utah-Arizona line and oiling will be completed to ! the Indian farm, j One of the largest projects in i the county to be undertaken this I spring will be the re-routing of j the highway at Wildcat, this side i of the Indian farm. According to the commission this project will cost between $75,000 and $100,000. and calls for a new 'bridge across Santa Clara creek, above the site of the present one, and heavy cuts ' and fills. i It is understood that this con-j con-j tract will be advertised soon. |
