Show 1 WHAT SCHOOL MEANS TO YOUR CHILD With the time drawing near for the school term to open several thoughts come to our mind. We have often tried to visualize just what the life of the child of today would be like without the common school. How would he spend the long days, where would he play, what friendships would he make, what influences would mold his young -personality, how his faith in himself and human nature would be affected by a thoughtless world, how he would: make that important transition from the simple life of the family to the more complicated life outside, where he would ' learn not only to read, to write, and to cypher but the thousand one other matters that determine his ability to get on in the world? Would you be willing to undertake this task by your- seld? Your child's school represents you. It is seeking to do for all the children what the best and wisest parents would do for their children if they had the time and talent. .
