Show Utah To Hold First Fair In Two Years; Sept. 28to Oct. 5 "Come to the fair!" With this widely sung song, hit title as its slogan by special permission of the copyright owner the 1935 Utah State Fair will open September 2 8 and close October 5. Every advance indication indi-cation is that it will be the greatest exposition ever conducted conduct-ed on the state-owned fair grounds in Salt Lake City. Resuming after an intermission intermis-sion of two years, fair board di-, rectors and Manager Ernest S. Holmes found exhibitors from all sections especially livestock, growers, agriculturists and man- ufacturers, evidencing an early and keen interest in the Beehive state's biggest show. Entries began coming in far ahead of expectations. Owners of champion cham-pion animals, growers of Utah; crops, fruits and vegetables, mining min-ing men and makers of varied j products pledged reallegiance to i the reopened fair. The United States government has expended more than $100,000 through FERA and PWA improvement im-provement projects. Included in the outstanding improvements are two livestock barns erected at a cost of $80.-000. $80.-000. They represent the most advanced ideas in animal housing hous-ing and exhibition facilities. New landscaping work will aid in beautifying the grounds and providing pro-viding exceptional opportunities for entertainment features of which there are to be many new and attractive ones this year. Utah manufacturers promise the mot interesting exhibits ever offered at a state fair. Action exhibits whirring machines, live models and motion pictures will add materially to the attention-attracting attention-attracting and educational values. Utah products will be shown in the making. The horse and dog shows will be bigger and better, than ever.
