TO CONTRACTORS i j Sealed proposals win be received re-ceived by the City of St. George, I Washington County, Utah at its jOffice in St. George, Utah, for the , extensions to its waterworks system, sys-tem, together with certain alternate alter-nate bids, all in accordance with jthe plans and specifications as 'prepared by Leo A. Snow, Engineer, Engin-eer, St. George, Utah, up and un-t31 un-t31 the hour of 10:00 A.M. Aug-iust Aug-iust 31, 1935 at which time and jat which place they will be publicly pub-licly opened and read. It is the intention of the Board to award the work under one contract. Each bidder must submit with his bid detailed specifications under un-der which his pipe will be fabricated. I Plans, specifications and proposal pro-posal blanks may be examined at the office of the City Clerk or the Engineer in St. George, Utah, or they may be obtained at either eith-er office upon a deposit of $5.00. Said deposits will be refunded provided the plans and specifications specifica-tions are returned to the Engineer En-gineer in good order not later than 10:00 A.M. August 81, 1936. Proposals must be made in strict accordance with all the provisions pro-visions of the plans and specifications, specifi-cations, and must be made on blank forms provided by the Engineer. En-gineer. To be considered they must be accomanied by a certified cer-tified check, cashier's check or bid bond in an amount at least equal to five percent of the following fol-lowing sums: The base bid plus all additive alternates. All bidders are hereby notified noti-fied that this is a PWA project and all work contemplated thereunder there-under must be done under the rules and regulations of the National Na-tional Industrial Recovery Act, thereto pertaining. (See Construction Con-struction Regulations, PWA Bulletin Bul-letin No. 2, March 5, 1935.) Specific attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum wage rates prescribed by the Federal Emergency Administration Ad-ministration of Public Works will be paid on this Project.
