Show LA VERKIN The Commercial club which takes in all the eastern part of the county met at La Verkln CCC camp March 17, 1936. The officers are as follows: President, Emil J. Graff; Vice-President, Dr. Gibson and Secretary, Flnley Judd. This club has Just been organized or-ganized and it purpose Is to handle all business affairs pertaining per-taining to the welfare of this part of the county. A chicken supper was served by the club. Eugene Henroid, chef, was ad-misted ad-misted by Roland Webb and Whitney Whit-ney Jones. The La Verkln citizens were called together Sunday night to discuss a project or relief workers. work-ers. The Relief Society women gave the program Sunday celebrating the society's ninety-third birthday. A lovely program wai rendered. Students Paul Wilson, Don-wortb Don-wortb Gubler, MileB Wallace, Ie-Lance Ie-Lance Squires, and Ruth Judd were visitors here last wetk-nd from Dixie. Ruth Judd is teaching teach-ing here thi week. Thora Gubler spent last wk visiting in St. George. Mr. and Mrs. William Sanders and daughter, Delma, are vising vis-ing In Hatch this week-end. |
