Show Nations to Talk of Disarmament New York Citizens of countries bordering on the Pacific ocean will Rather in Honolulu, July 15 to 19 to discuss "mental disarmament' Dr. Ray Lyman Wilbur, president of Stanford Stan-ford university and chairman of the Institute of Pacific Relations, announced. an-nounced. It will be the first gathering under the auspiees of the Institute since the meeting at the time of its formation in 1925. "With half of the population of the world living In countries coun-tries bordering on the Pacific," Dr. Wilbur said, "the need for mental disarmament dis-armament is apparent. Certainly in the domain of science and education we should be able to como to mutual understanding. Both science and education edu-cation now contribute so definitely to political and national life, that if we can understand each other in science and education, we can work out common com-mon points of view which will avoid conflict. |
