Show RICHFIELD TO BE NEXT HOST OF CIVICS CLUBS C. W. Love, Jr., vice-president of the Associated Civic clubs of Southern Utah, reports that the next meeting of that organization will be held in Richfield, on Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday, April 26th and 2 7th. According to Mr. Love, Jr., this meeing was set on that date at the request o-f Lions club of that city as the Lions are sponsoring a carnival to raise funds for the- annual ! convention of Utah and' Idaho ! Lions to be held there in June, i Due to the nature of the two ' events, Mr. Love, Jr., pointed' out ' that they should' work together ! nicely and should provide a j really big day for all of Southern Utah. The Club hopes to have one of their best meetings,, with the largest attendance-. The business sessions will be ' called at 3 p.m., Saturday and J 3 a.m., Sunday, with a banquet 1 and dance Saturday night. The meetings and banquet will be to! the armory and the dance in the Aniona pavilion. Visiting ! ladies will 'be entertained Sat-! urday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Frank G. Martines. Besides the unfinished business several new matters of. importance, impor-tance, particularly those pertaining pertain-ing to flood and erosion control nnd road construcion, will be brought up. It is important that as many members as possible ' attend. |
