Show NAVAJOS MAY MAKE WHOOPEE AT MIDWINTER MID-WINTER MEET HERE J. H. Lee, who for many years has operated the trading post at Gap, Arizona, on the Navajo Indian In-dian reservation, was in St. George this week visiting relatives. A committee having in charge the arrangements for the mid-winter race meet and rodeo on December 26, 27 and 28, met with Mr. Lee and tentative plans were drawn up whereby a number of Navajo Indians could be brought in for the event. It is hoped that permission will be given Mr. Lee by C. L. Walker, Indian agent at Tuba City, to allow al-low himi to bring in a band of the Indians. If this is done visit-tors visit-tors to St. George this winter will have the opportunity of witnessing witness-ing many of the tribal dances and ceremonies of thes,e Indians, in addition ad-dition to many other entertain-: ing features. i 1 i |
