Show CHILDREN HONOR PIONEERS BIRTH On the evening of November 14 the descendants of James G. Bleak celebrated the one hundredth hund-redth anniversary of his birth in the form of a reunion in the basement base-ment of the tabernacle. Games were played and supper served after which the following program was given by the grandchildren grand-children and great grandchildren: dren: Piano solo, Mary McAllister. Reading. Clea Bleak. Instrumental duet, Lynn and Bleak Empey. Whistling solo. Ruby Nelson, accompanied ac-companied by Blanche Nelson. Readings. Ruth Ramsey. Missionary experiences, Kate Eagar. Cornet solo. Earl J. Bleak. Jokes. Lloyd Bleak. Chorus. Boys and girls, accompanied accom-panied by Thelma Bleak. Those wf(o attended from out-of-town were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Thompson and daughter of Hamilton Ham-ilton Fort. Mr. and Mrs. John Humphries and daughter Mrs. Kate Eagar of Hurricane and Mrs. Irene Bracken of Central. James G. Bleak was one of the hand cart pioneers of Utah and one of the first to arrive in St. George, coming here on December 1, 1861. |
