Show ENTERPRISE JJXTEKl'RISK, Aug. 1. The 2-day 2-day celebration here last week was a great success, with a large number of out-of-town visitors. The ball games were especially good the first being won by St. George after the teams were scoreless for the first seven innings. On the second sec-ond day Enterprise won from the American Legion junior team of St. George by a score or 6 to 2. On Sunday, Cedar City team played here, the game ending end-ing with a score of 11 to 3 in favor of Enterprise. Born JA daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Lamb. Mrs. Julia Barnum has returned return-ed from Fort Wayne, Ind., where she spent three months with her daughter, Mrs. Elmer Sprague. On July 21 a daughter was born to Mrs. Sprague, who was formerly for-merly Miss Lena Barnum. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Price and children of Las Vegas spent Monday and Tuesday here attending at-tending the celebration. Sirs. Jane Thorne of Alamo, New, is here visiting her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. John Z. Alger. Al-ger. Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Arios Alger and two sons of Miami, Calif., attended at-tended the celebration here. Mr. Alger returned Saturday and Mrs. Alger and children will visit for a time with her mother, Mrs. Julia Fish. Mrs. Murkins Winsor and two sons and her brother, Howard Hewlett of Morgan are here visiting. vis-iting. Mr. Hewlett recently returned re-turned from a mission and was the speaker in sacrament meeting meet-ing Sunday. Mrs. Win. Truman. Jr., and infant son returned Wednesday j from Cedar City. Klias Hunt nf St. Centre is lu-re visiting relatives. |
