Show LABOR AGENT ' SETS DATES FOR REGISTRATION Walter F. Smith Appointed by United States Employ-men Employ-men Service to Register County Residents for Jobs All of the day of Friday, February Feb-ruary 19, and the afternoon of Saturday, February 20, have been set aside by Walter F. Smith, for receiving and filling out application blanks for all citizens, both men and women, who are in need of employment. Mr .Smith has recently been appointed ap-pointed by the United States department of labor as special registering agent for Washington Washing-ton county. The office will be maintained in the county agent's office in the Dixie College science building. build-ing. . Although no guarantee is made that employment will be secured for all who register, it is fairly certain that work will be found for some. The names of those registering, together with their qualifications and past experience will be filed with the state employment em-ployment office in Salt Lake City. This office has on file the names of all employers in this and surrounding sur-rounding states, and has a line on construction projects under way, together with the number of workmen necessary on each and the approximate turnover for each day or week. There is no charge for the service, and no commission will be taken from wages if a position po-sition is secured. |
