Show GUGDP INSPECTS OPERATIONS OF DIXIE PRODUCTS VISITORS FROM SALT LAKE AXD LOS AXGELES SEE PROGRESS OF COMPANY; TURKEY GROWERS MEET-IXG MEET-IXG SET FOR FEB 13TH The following visitors inspected in-spected the operations and progress prog-ress of the Dixie Products, Inc., this week: T. J. Chamberlain, Ralph Watson and F. F. Pick- Salt T.nlre Citv: H. W. Staples of Los Angeles; I. E. I Riddle of Cedar City, and Mr. Smith of the Globe Mills in Ogden. Mr. Watson is connected with T. J. Chamberlain and company, com-pany, investments, in Salt Lake City. He is going to stay in St. George several months with the organization to make investigations in-vestigations of industries which might be introduced into southern south-ern Utah in the future. Mr. Staples reported satisfactory satisfac-tory arrangements of poultry sales, but no permanent sales contract can be made before a continuous production of 25,000 per month be reached. The Dixie Products will do everything possible pos-sible to reach that quota and hope that additional local people will assist some of the producers to increase their production or finance new producers interested. Dixie Products has informed all turkey producers in this territory ter-ritory that a meeting will be held at the Liberty hotel at 7 p. m. Monday evening, February Febru-ary 15, to go into the production and financing of at least 20,000 turkeys in 1932. During the latter part of this week the refrigeration people wall be in St. George to give final approval on the cold storage, stor-age, ice and chicken dressing plant. Arrangements will be made to have the first section in full operation by the first of March. |
