Show A Fable Peter Rabbit had slept a long time. Now his hair had grown so long that nobody tcnew him. He saw passing by an old, old man, weak and tottery, a younger-looking one with rheumy eyes and shaking legs, and - another who looked a trifle less ancient. "I am eh-heh-heh 1 Farmer Brown," said the first old man. "This is my son, Farmer Brown's boy, John, whom you may have seen, and here Is his son, Farmer Brown's grandson, Demijohn, Demi-john, of whom you have never heard before." And they went tottering down the hill, leaving Peter Rabbit considerably interested. Kansas City Star. |
