Show VEYO Veyo, May IS. While Miss Verna Leavitt was gathering gum in the gulch last Tuesday a large rock rolled rol-led down striking her on the hip, knocking her down and rendering her unconscious. She was very badly bad-ly bruised and cut and has been confined con-fined to her bed since but is on the improve. Mr. and Mrs. Zera Hunt entertained entertain-ed the young folks at their home at the Truman ranch Sunday evening. The evening was spent in playing games after which ice cream was served. A very enjoyable time was reported. Mode Andrews and Mr. White were here Sunday passing on the cattle they had previously contracted. John H. Bowler and F. J. Bowler left for Modena this morning with the cattle bought. Mr. and Mrs. David Canfield and Mrs. Hyrum Burgess of Mesquite, Nevada, were visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lem S. Leavitt the latter lat-ter part of last week. |
