Show ROCKVILLE Rockville, May 19. Governor Dern and daughter, Elizabeth, Engineers En-gineers Finch and Means, Senators Lunt and Blood, David A. Dennett and Oliver Grimes made a tour of the proposed route of the new state road connecting Zion park with the Grand Canyon highway Sunday. The Governor is delighted with this part of the state and enjoyed his visit to the park very much. Miss Myrtle Dalton, Miss Marcia Terry and Mrs. Alice Russell went to Zion park Friday to work in the new hotel. Miss Dalton will supervise the laundry department. Mrs. Griffiths has just arrived from Salt Lake City to be with her husband, one of the surveyors at work on the re-routeing of the state road. Mrs. Grant Piatt and children, who spent the winter here, left for their home at Reno, Nevada, Saturday. Satur-day. Misses Laurel and Phyles Gibson of Hurricane are here visiting their aunt, Miss Augusta Jennings. Mr. and Mrs. David Hirschi and Mrs. Susie Stanworth of Hurricane were visitors here Friday. Floyd and Wendell DeMill have returned after a week's visit with relatives at Hurricane. Boyd Dennett of St. George arrived arriv-ed here last week to spend the summer sum-mer with his parents. |
