Show ROCKVILLE Rockville, Aug. 12. Amos Workman Work-man and David Hirschi of Hurricane were visitors here Saturday, in the interests of the Canyon club. An organization or-ganization was effected with Marvin Terry chairman and Mrs. Thora De-Mill De-Mill secretary. Byron Holtz, one of the bridge men, had to leave here last week because be-cause of continued ill health. His place was taken by Mr. Garner of Ogden. Mr. Richardson the manager, manag-er, also left Monday expecting to be gone for some time. The work is left in the hands of Champ Clarke, foreman of the company. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hirschi of St. George were guests of Daniel Hirsch last week. During their visit here they motored to Zion park, accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Milo Hirschi, Mrs. Heber Hirschi and Mrs. Perry De-Mill. De-Mill. Mr. Ramsey, noted Utah artist who is spending the summer in Zion canyon, can-yon, visited here Sunday. He was the speaker at sacrament meeting and gave us a very interesting talk. Alvin and Arval Allred of Spring-dale Spring-dale visited us last Sunday in behalf . of the worthy poor of Springdale. A substantial sum was donated by the people here. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Langston, Heber Hirschi and Dee Cox arrived home from Cedar City Sunday, the men went back Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Stevens and Mrs. Marion Stout of Hirricane were guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Dennett last week. Mrs. Niles Earl of Virgin was a recent visitor here at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orley Dalton. Miss Delia DeMill made a brief visit home last week from Zion park where she is working. Jacob Dalton and his sister, Mrs. Afton Gifford, left Saturday to visit relatives at Hinckley. Miss Myrtle Dalton and her brother broth-er Lester made a business trip to Cedar City last week. Mr. and Mrs. John Dennett attended attend-ed the funeral of Mrs. Alice Isom at Hurricane Friday. Rosewell DeMill spent three days of last week in St. George on business. busi-ness. Gottlieb Mathis was a visitor here from Hurricane Saturday. Newel DeMill is home after a week's visit in Cedar City. |
