Show Roosevelt chooses career girl Karon Stirling 27 Roosevelt was chosen as the career girl for the Roosevelt Business and Professional Women's Club Monday evening at a dinner meeting at Bottle Hollow Miss Stirling was born in Leeds Utah and grew up in Las Vegas She graduated from Southern Utah State with a major in education and minor in music She is employed by the Uintah School District where she teaches at atthe atthe atthe the Russel Todd Elementary School SHE IS an active member of the Church and has served the past two years as campaign chairman for the March of Dimes She is also a member of the Roosevelt Miss Stirling will compete on the District level April 26 in Vernal Winner of oC that contest will go to state in May up Runner-up in the competition Monday evening was Vicki Lynette Workman 24 also a teacher of the Roosevelt Elementary Judges for the contest were John Gale Justice of Peace of Roosevelt John Saunders land operations officer officer of of- Cicer for the Uintah and Ouray Agency and Anselmo Valverde supervisor soil conservationist Uintah and Ouray Agency |
