Show Planning assistance approved for three county area Sponsors of the land Dinosaur Resource Conservation and Development Program covering Daggett Duchesne and Uintah Counties received word this past week that their project had received approval for planning assistance This approval was granted by Earl L. L Butz Secretary of Agriculture Sponsors of the project project- in Uintah County are the County Commissioners the Uintah Basin Soil Conservation District the Ute Indian Tribe the Uintah Basin Association of Governments Vernal City and the Uintah Water Conservancy District TillS THIS APPROVAL authorizes the sponsors to move ahead with the development of a project plan for the entire project area It also authorizes various agencies in the Department of Agriculture to assist in planning this project While the project plan is being developed planning can be carried out on proposed projects within the project area After the project plan has been completed and accepted in Washington ton the protect project area will be approved for operations At this time th the following types of projects will be eligible eligible eligi ble for RED financial and technical assistance flood prevention erosion and j nt r iii E f x I W 4 Y f E 1 A r J c r ALL STUDENT ART SHOW will wll be held March 17 to April 4 Students displaying their talents are Gary Bigelow Kim Mackay Kirk Critton and Randy Murray Not pictured is Shanna Lance The art background is work by Miss Mackay sediment control farm Irrigation land drainage public water water based based fish and wildlife and recreation developments water quality management soil and water management for agriculture related pollution control Low interest loans ma may be e available from Farmers Home Administration for some projects The project will will be directed by an RED Council composed of a representative from each of the sponsoring organizations Albert Neff of Manila is serving as chairman of the council at the present time |
