Show I Little Gallery t to host art exhibits Two exhibitions of art will will be beon beon beon on display at the Uintah County Library from 1 to 9 pm p.m. from August 14 through August 30 The show will be hosted by bythe the Little Gallery of Arts TilE THE FIRST exhibition The TheArt TheArt TheArt Art Life of Utah depicts the development of the visual arts in Utah from carll earliest t pioneer days to the present A condensation condensation con COD of a larger three-part three exhibition held at the Salt Lake Art Center this exhibition is comprised of 13 original paintings by artists such as George Gcorge M M. Ottinger J J. J B B. Fairbanks LeConte Stewart and Douglas Snow In addition there are numerous photographic reproductions reproduction of other paintings by well-known well and influential Utah artists material on artists and their lives and times times' accompanies accompanies accompanies ac ac- ac- ac companies each painting and reproduction The exhibition was assembled by the Salt Lake Art Center under the direction of Robert chairman of the department of arts at the University of Utah TilE THE SECOND part of this double exhibition consists of a bicentennial portfolio of 12 prints by twelve of ot Americas America's foremost artists and print- print makers The portfolio was commissioned by the Lorillard Corporation and as a gift to museums and art centers throughout the UJ United ted States The initial showing was held in October 1975 at the Corcoran Gallery Washington DC D.C.
