The meter, with four or five dials, running clockwise and counterclockwise counter-clockwise isn't as confusing as it first appears. Each dial is numbered from one to ten, representing repre-senting a number of kilowatt hours. If you can count from one to ten, you can be a meter reader. To take a reading, simply jot down each number in the same order as you read it, from left to right. If the pointer is between two numbers, num-bers, choose the lower of the two. The exception excep-tion is if the dial is between 9 and 0. In that case, record 9. Record the numbers at the same time each day, and subtract the difference from the previous day. Most of your daily changes will show up in the three right hand dials. di-als. Take he balance and continue your readings over the course of the month. When your utility bill arrives, you can check it for accuracy. Keep up the daily readings. If you note any extreme fluctuations, think back to where and how you have used your electrical appliances.
