Show CAPTURED. For some time past there has been an advertisement in the Journal, signed by W. Hoge, sheriff of Bear Lake county, Idaho, offering a reward of $100 for the capture of one Ole W. Hansen. He was taken last Friday, and the Bear Lake Democrat gives an interesting account of the event. A little boy saw and spoke to the fugitive shout a mile from Paris, and immediately brought word to Sheriff Hoge. A posse was raised, and Hansen was caught sight of and followed, but hid in the brush, eluding his captors. On Saturday, however, the search was renewed, and he was at length found in a haystack near the house in which his wife resides in Paris. Hansen is accused of stealing two horses, taking them to Corinne and selling them. He was brought before Justice Stuckl, waived examination, and was imprisoned in default of bail to await the action of the Grand Jury. |
