Show by Mrs. Beth Hillier. All women are invited to attend. Lark P-TA held its Founder's day program Monday evening, February 18, with Mrs. Betty Gillam, IP-TA president, presiding. presid-ing. The program consisted of a Founder's day skit given by sixth grade students and a vocal solo by Mrs. Irene Boggess, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Josie Coffey. Reed Beckstead, assistant superintendent super-intendent of Jordan school district, dis-trict, was guest speaker. His topic was "Education of Today". LARK NEWS . Joy Seal 901 Jl ; LARK M.I.A. GOLD " AND GREEN BALL SET FOR MARCH 1 Lark MIA wish to announce that they will hold their annual Gold and Green Ball at the Amusement hall on Saturday evening, ev-ening, March 1st. There will be a good orchestra and everyone Is invited. Tickets are $1.50 per couple, extra persons 50 Cents. Proceeds will go to the , new church building fund. Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Draper celebrated their wedding anniversary anni-versary Saturday, February 16, by enjoying dinner at Shanghai Low cafe and later a show in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Donna Ault and daughter LuDonna of Midvale have been visiting the past week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Reed while her husband and Douglas Reed have been visitors at Emmett, Idaho. Mrs. Ault and Mr. iReed are formerly of Lark. J Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gressman for the past week were Mrs.. Mary Jane Pierce and Mrs. Margaret Wilcox and daughter dau-ghter Karen of Eureka. Mrs. DeVere Coombs and daughter Ellen were dinner I guests of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Rostrum j and family Sunday, February 17. . i Mr. and Mrs. Paul Juber Sr. of Orem and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Juber Jr. of Provo were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gressman and family. ., A Stork shower was given in honor of Mrs. Robert Foist by Mrs. Marvin Throckmorton and Mrs. Robert Cole at the Throckmorton Throck-morton home in Copperton Wednesday, Wed-nesday, February 13. Cootie was played and those winning prizes were Miss Judith Slotte of Bingham, Bing-ham, first; Mrs. Dorothy Smith of Sandy, second, and Mrs. Gordon Gor-don Deakin of Midvale, third. Mrs. Guy Beckstrom of West Jordan won the house prize. Others Oth-ers present were Mrs. Jean Smith and Mrs. Colleen Beckstead of West Jordan, Mrs. Afton Tackitt and Mrs. Frances Peterson of Bingham. A light luncheon was enjoyed by all, Mrs. Foist received receiv-ed many lovely gifts. Lark Lions club will be sponsors spon-sors of a patriotic program to be held sometime within the next two months. Students of fourth, fifth and sixth grades of Lark elementary school will participate partici-pate by writing essays on patriotism pat-riotism which will be judged by patrons of Lark. Prizes will be awarded. Week end guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. P. W. Peterson were Mr. and Mrs. Les Williams of Rock Springs, Wyo. Mrs. Peterson Pe-terson and Mrs. Williams are sisters. Lark Ward Relief Society social so-cial science lesson will be given Tuesday, February 20, at 10 a.m. |
