Salt Lake City, Feb. [February] 1st, 1881. To our Friends and Patrons: Gentlemen:--We take pleasure in introducing to you Mr. T.F. Thane, of Lehi, who represents our Salt Lake Branch House as salesman, taking the place of Mr. Braulck. Mr. Thane was (for about ten years) agent of the Lehi Union Exchange, until it consolidated with the People's Co-op., under the management of Mr. T.R. Cuttler, with whom Mr. Thane remained until he entered our employ. He comes to us highly recommended, so that we bespeak for him any orders that you may be pleased to favor this House with. He will make a thorough canvass of the Territory taking in the southern part ?? and will visit every settlement, that he may show to the people that we propose to give them a good wagon for their money; that we have established a large business in the shape of a Branch House, where wholesale dealers will ?[feel] that they can transact their business on as liberal terms as if they were at our Factory. We present for the Spring Trade such an assortment of Wagons that any person wishing to buy, cannot fail to be suited, having fully three hundred vehicles, of seventy-five different styles to select from. We keep our improvements up to the times, and when a Utah Farmer or Teamster can show us where we can make a profitable improvement, we will be only too glad to have his suggestions; for we intend to have as good, if not the best and most desirable wagon that is for sale in Utah. Thanking you for the past favors, we woul solicit your further patronage, and extend to you a special invitation to call in our Repository, and examine our stock, whether you wish to buy or not. Yours truly, Studebaker Bros. manufacturing Co. James D. Glass. Manager. P.S. To insure a prompt reply, address all business letters as follows: Studebaker Bros.
