Show THE FRANKLIN CO-OPERATIVE INSTITUTION. On the 15th inst. (instant) the stock-holders of this institution met when reports were presented which showed its entire business to be in good condition. A dividend of 12-1/2 per cent on the capital stock was declared. The institution comprises a store, woolen factory, furniture store, butcher shop and blacksmith shop. The stockholders voted to dispense with a board of directors, and elected S. R. Parkinson superintendent and business manager of the entire institution for one year, during which he will have full control of all the business and departments of the institution. The factory is in excellent condition, is making large quantities of various kinds of woolen goods, yarns, &c (etc.) and finds a ready market and good prices for all its products. |
