Show TERRITORIAL NEWS. News: A special from Frisco says: Christmas morning between ten and eleven o'clock, a shooting affray took place at Malloy's saloon, between Ed. (Edward) Kirby and Wm. (William) Thomas which resulted in instant death for Kirby. Thomas was slightly wounded. Kirby had been following Thomas during the morning, and making threats he would kill him before evening. As far as can be learned Thomas was justified in killing him. Junction: About three weeks ago a young girl came to this city from Oregon Valley, to work for one of our citizens. She stayed but twelve days, when her father learned that she had gone to a house of ill repute, on Main Street. Immediately upon learning this he drove down, arriving here about midday yesterday. Whip in hand he forced his way into the den, and finding his daughter, dragged her to the street and compelled her to get into his wagon after which he drove rapidly for home. We learn that the girl's aunt was the keeper of the house of ill-fame mentioned. And that neither the father nor his daughter knew of the business carried on by the woman until a short time since. These dens are getting too thick in our city. Let them be abolished. Enquirer: The Utah Southern and Castle Valley Railroad has recently been incorporated.
