Show Reliable Testimony. Where testimonials give the residence of the parties it is an easy matter for any person to verify them. Thousands of people from all parts of the Pacific Coast can and have expressed the opinion that there is no other article in the world equal to Phosphate Soap for common toilet use. A great many people have tested this soap for skin diseases. Among others we give the following from parties who have thoroughly tested Phosphate Soap. Oakland, Cal. (California), April 6, 1880. Standard Soap Company - Gents (Gentlemen) Some two or three months ago, I had a boy about two years old that had suffered for a year with a severe skin eruption on the head and face caused by teething. The child was in such misery that it would often be awakened out of sleep by the severe itching. He would then scratch his head and face until the blood ran from the scabs. We tried everything we could find, but nothing seemed to give any permanent relief until we tried Phosphate Soap. Before we had used one cake, the child's head and face were entirely healed, and there has been no appearance of the disease since. Michael Kane, No. (Number) 1008 Kirkham St. (Street). Fort Verde, Arizona, Dec. (December) 17, 1879. Standard Soap Company - Gents (Gentlemen). Having received your box of Phosphate Soap, and having used only one cake of Soap out of three, I am happy to say that it has completely cured my sore eyelids which was caused by the alkali dust in Idaho Territory, in 1877, and have been sore ever since until I used Phosphate Soap. Corporal Dennis Burke, Twelfth Infantry. San Francisco, November 27, 1879. Standard Soap Company - Gents (Gentlemen). After a number of trials of Soaps, I have learned that the Phosphate is certainly the very best for shaving. I thank you for its introduction. James P Arthur. "Made New Again." St. (Saint) Catherines, Ont. (Ontario). R. V. Pierce, M. D. I have used your Favorite Prescription, Golden Medical Discovery and Pleasant Purgative Pellets for the last three months and find myself -(what shall I say) - "made new again," are the only words that express it. I was reduced to a skeleton, could not walk across the floor without fainting, could keep nothing in the shape of food on my stomach. Myself and friends had given up all hope, my immediate death seemed certain. I can never be too thankful to those who recommended your medicine, for now I live (to the surprise of everybody) and am able to do my own work. I desire to make this statement in order that those suffering may not despair until they have given your remedies a trial. Yours respectfully, Mrs. Wm. (William) D. Rickman. No More Hard Times. If you will stop spending so much on fine clothes, rich food and style, buy good healthy food, cheaper and better clothing, get more real and substantial things of life every way, and especially stop the foolish habit of employing expensive, quack doctors or using so much of the vile, burning medicine that does you only harm, but put your trust in that simple, pure remedy, Hop Bitters, that cures always at a trifling cost, and you will see the good times and have good health. - Chronicle. Leather Belting. For many years, H. N. Cook of San Francisco has been engaged in the manufacture of leather belting and hose. His reputation for good work is known all over the Pacific Coast. He manufactures belting from the best oak-tanned leather, which comes from his own tannery. He has recently moved into the second story of the building formerly occupied by Treadwell & Co. (Company), corner of Market and First Streets. This is directly opposite Front Street. This large and convenient place will enable him to carry on his business more extensively, and fill all orders promptly. Parties who expect to order any belting from San Francisco at any future time should clip this out and save it for reference. Remember that the address is H. N. Cook, 405 Market Street. S. F. (San Francisco). The greatest lover of the human race is a Toledo man. When he slips down he prefers to have a crowd see him, so they can have the fun of laughing. Guilty of Wrong. Some people have a fashion of confusing excellent remedies with the large mass of "patent medicines," and in this they are guilty of a wrong. There are some advertised remedies fully worth all that is asked for them, and one at least we know of - Hop Bitters. The writer has had occasion to use the Bitters in just such a climate as we have most of the year in Bay City, and has always found them to be first-class and reliable, doing all that is claimed for them. - Tribune. Phosphate Soap (Illustration) The Best soap for toilet use ever manufactured. Best because it contains all the excellencies of the most expensive foreign or American soaps without their defects. Best because it combines strength with delicacy in such a way that its strong detersive qualities do not injure the skin. Best because it is the result of years of study and experiment in the soap manufacturing business, assisted by modern chemical discoveries. Best because it contains ingredients beneficial to the skin, which unite chemically with the soap in such a manner as to increase its saponaceous qualities. Every chemist familiar with soap manufacture knows that some ingredients which are in themselves beneficial to the skin cannot be saponified; some are partially neutralized, while others injure the quality of the soap. There are soaps in the market which are to some extent beneficial to the skin, but they are inferior articles for toilet use. Phosphate Soap is the Only article offered to the public which combines all the best elements of toilet soap with medical ingredients beneficial to the skin. The genuine merits of Phosphate Soap and persistent advertising will force every druggist, groceryman and general dealer to order it by the gross sooner or later. Ask for it in every store. The retail price is 25 cents per cake. We wish to sell it only at wholesale, but in case you cannot find it we will send a nice box of three cakes by mail, on receipt of 85 cents in stamps. It is an old proverb that an ounce of preventive is better than pound of cure. Twenty-five cents invested in a cake of Phosphate Soap will save hundreds of dollars in doctors' bills. It acts as a constant disinfectant, preventing Salt Rheum and other skin diseases. No salve or ointment can heal a wound or sore of any kind. Every educated physician will tell you that nature alone can do this. Phosphate Soap, by its cleansing, soothing and purifying quantities gives nature a chance to act freely. If your wife is in the habit of using cosmetics of any kind, advise her to give up the pernicious practice, as the most harmless face powders obstruct the pores of the skin and sooner or later injure the complexion, while Phosphate Soap removes all impurities and assists nature in developing a natural, healthy and beautiful skin. Not only for daily use on the face and hands, but for bathing the entire body, there is nothing equal to Phosphate Soap. It is a thorough disinfectant and removes offensive odors of every kind.
