Show Fruitland We are happy to note that Fruit land is not the only place receivinf the gifts of winter, more particular ly an abundance of snow. Wore comes from J. E. L. Carey who, witr. Mrs. Carey, is now in Grand Junction, Junc-tion, Colo., visiting Mrs. Carey'; people, that the snow there is abou a foot deep and that there is "gooc prospects" for more of it. From Grand Junction also com the glad tidings that, on Decembei ' 2, a son was born to Mr. and Mrs J. E. L. Carey of Fruitland. Mothei and Master "Leon" Carey are doinf fine, continues the message. Need less to say, father Carey is feelinj extraordinarily and extremely well November 30, school superinten dent I. Daniel Stewart came thrv here out his way to the Strawberrj valley to get his car which had bro ken down. We saw him go back al right, but hear that he had another accident before reaching Duchesne and that the car was left to the rav ages of the weather, for a time at least. Mr., and Mrs. Rockhill entertained enter-tained Monday, December 1, in honor hon-or of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Savage ' All present enjoyed themselves very much. Mrs. Robert D. Young has beer. slightly ill the last few days, but is improving. Services of the L. D. S. church are coming along very nicely, but if we want to keep up with the growing grow-ing demand, additional seats and o-ther o-ther improvements will have to be provided for. A dance will be held in the Fruitland Fruit-land school house Friday, December 12, and everybody expects to have a rousing good time. |
