Show i uuuiesne county H. W. COLMERY A BENEDICT BENE-DICT WILL MARRY DECEMBER 20, AND BECOME LAW PARTNER OF COL. JOHN S. DEAN Some surprising news. II. W. Colmery, the well known young attorney at-torney and more than well loved citizen cit-izen of Duchesne, is going to leave us. In fact, he left us already and is on hi3 way to Topeka, Kas., to meet Col. John S. Dean, abo well inown in our city and one of the mo3t prominent attorneys of the 3tate of Kansas. Col. Dean knows i-he excellent abilities of Mr. Colmery and offered him a partnership in his law office. "I could not very well afford to refuse this generous and flattering offer", stated Mr. Colmery Col-mery when he told us of his plans. "Are you going to be married?", asked the interviewer. "It's funny," answered H. W. evasively, "when 1 came back from servfee, you asked me about the girb, and now, when I am about to leave Duchesne, you are asking me the same thing". But the interviewer was right after all, because here is the most surprising part of the news. On our desk is a lithographed missive, reading: "Mr. and Mrs. Ward Hiserodt request the honor of your presence at the marriage mar-riage of their daughter Minerva to Mr. Harry W. Colmery on Saturday, December 20, 1919, at 10:30 o'clock. Gridley, Illinois." Now, Harry, what do you think about our smart society editor? |
